Jeel Al Jay (The Next Generation) is an innovative digital youth program that spotlights the talents and dynamism of young opinion leaders in Tunisia and Lebanon. As part of Munathara’s broader "Opinion Makers" project, it offers a vibrant forum for discussions pertinent to young people, presented in an engaging style inspired by Generation Z culture. The program showcases diverse perspectives on social and political issues, breaking news, sports, technology, arts, and culture. Recognizing the importance of empowering the younger generation, Jeel Al Jay provides an informal and dynamic space for conversation, featuring popular YouTubers and influencers. Since its launch, the online viewership of Jeel Al Jay has surpassed expectations in both Lebanon and Tunisia, marking a notable achievement for Munathara. In December 2024, Munathara expanded Jeel Al Jay to Morocco. This was as part of a 40-month project aimed at supporting the emergence of a new generation of young thought leaders and strengthening public interest media across all Moroccan regions. The show features young Moroccan voices discussing topics of national concern, alongside experts in the chosen fields. In April 2025, Munathara introduced "Jeel Al Jay Plus," a new edition launched in Tunisia as part of the "Oumour Themmna/Jeel Al Jay" project. Developed in collaboration with EuroMed Rights and the New Genz Activists network, this version focuses on human rights and public affairs. It brings together young participants from across Tunisia to engage in digital media production and discuss pressing societal issues such as access to information and the state of human rights, promoting civic awareness and inclusive dialogue. By offering a platform that reflects the interests and language of today's youth, Jeel Al Jay—in all its iterations—plays a crucial role in engaging young audiences and encouraging their active participation in societal discourse, empowering a new generation of influential civic voices across the MENA region.
