Let's Discuss- أجي نتناقشوا is a youth-led podcast series by the Munathara Initiative that creates space for open and inclusive dialogue on pressing societal issues in Morocco. Originally produced in 2023 in collaboration with the Great Debaters Morocco Association and FMAS, the podcast brought together youth from across the country to engage in three episodes that tackled key topics: updates to the Moroccan penal code, the evolving role of media in society, and the challenges of rebuilding earthquake-affected areas through smart infrastructure. Participants underwent intensive online training and mentorship, equipping them with skills in public speaking, argumentation, and issue-based analysis. The final episodes, recorded in professional studios and broadcast live via platforms like Joussour Radio and Madar21, reached over 1.3 million people, far surpassing initial targets. In 2024, the podcast was relaunched as part of the Oumour Themmna Morocco (“What Matters to Us”) project. This new ongoing edition continues its mission of civic engagement by providing youth aged 18 to 30 with a dedicated platform to explore issues of local and national concern through conversations with experts and stakeholders. Topics covered so far have ranged from civic activism as a path to personal growth and the influence of social media on public opinion, to workplace harassment, irregular migration, and economic hardship. Episodes also explored Morocco’s digital transformation, the fight against mental health stigma, and the growing political disengagement among Moroccan youth. Each episode amplified the voices of young Moroccans who shared lived experiences and critical perspectives. Let's Discuss- أجي نتناقشوا is more than a podcast—it is a participatory media platform that centers youth voices, fosters public debate, and promotes democratic dialogue in Morocco.
