The economic meltdown in Lebanon has severely damaged the medical sector and its beneficiaries. The immigration of many of the sector’s talented workforce, along with the expensive medical bills, deficiency in medical supplies, and monopoly, has burdened citizens and resulted in the loss of much of the sector’s advantages and immunity. Can we still consider Lebanon, despite all that, to be the “hospital of the Middle East”?
